Kong and that now he and his party were without funds. Yeung Kui Wan said he would see about it. Then Tung Cheung came back to Ng Lo Sam's house where we all were together with Ng Lo Sam. He said "There is no need for any of you to go with me, I can go by myself and do it myself". Ng Lo Sam then upbraided me and said "There's a smart man, he is able to do it and you can't". It was then arranged to do it the following day. Ng Lo Sam said he would leave the hour of doing it to us.
On the 20th after evening rice, the three I have named and myself went and had a smoke of opium at the Wan Heung Kok in West Point. Then we went to the foot of Aberdeen street in Queen's Road and met 6 men. Then we all went up to Aberdeen street by different routes in three parties. That was between 7 and 8 pm. A little after 7, I was in Gage street at the junction with Aberdeen street at the corner of the house where Yeung Kui Wan lived. Just as we got there, I heard the report of firearms in Yeung Kui Wan's house. I heard 3 or 4 shots very quick one after another. There was nobody about. Then I saw Tung Ching, Lam Tsai, and Tsui Fuk running out of the lane at the back of the house where Yeung Kui Wan lived.
Then we all went down to the praya. They had hired a boat before they went to the murder. The three I have named went away in the boat. I believe they sailed to Macao. I got into a small boat and went to Cheung Chau and from thence to Tai O. The other 6 went back next morning by the Canton boat to Canton. I have not seen Ng Lo Sam since. I got $50 at the Lung Mo temple in Canton. That was on the 17th day of the 11th moon. I went to Li Ka Cheuk afterwards. That was on the 18th of the 12th moon, and asked for my share of the reward. I saw him. He said "It is nothing to do with you, it is their affair". Then I went home as my leg was bad.
Tung Cheung got $5000,
Lam Tsai got $5000,
